To reproduce:

1) have a shared contact list with entries (not sure if this is necessary or not to bug)
2) Give child "edit contact list" permission
3) Log in as child
4) Go to "Contacts"
5) Click "Add Contact" and fill out form-- submit
6) New contact is not visible in contact list

Note, however, that if you are composing email and you click on the contacts link next to "to" field, the pop-up address book DOES show the new contact.

I am unable to reproduce this bug.  I have made a couple of changes to the child's contact list manager (based on your other suggestions).  Can you retest this on your account and let me know if you still see this issue?

Yes, I'm still seeing this.  It looks like what is really happening is that none of this child's personal contacts are showing, only the shared contacts.  I added another contact as the child.  It did not show on the contact list available under the contacts button.  However, the pop-up from the contacts link under compose DID show it.  I then tried adding an entry to just the child's Only the shared contacts are visible.  I added a contact to just this child's address book and it shows up in pop-up directory, but NOT in list under "contacts".

UPDATE:  It looks like the real problem here is that the contacts button is only showing the first 13 contacts.  Any beyond that (whether shared or personal) are not visible.
