iPhone/iPod Touch

Is a kidsemail account able to be accessed by the Mail application on iPhone or iPod Touch (or standard email application on a standard computer for that matter)? If so, what are the settings, POP, incoming and outgoing servers?
Thank you.

Kids Email can be accessed via the Safari browser on the iPhone / iPod Touch.  It cannot be accessed directly via POP or IMAP, however.

We have just released an iPhone / iPod Touch web app that your kids can use.  Please check out: http://blog.kidsemail.org/2010/01/kidsemail-webapp-for-iphone-ipod-touch/

Good luck!

This was looking promising for the iPad, but the layout was designed for a tiny mobile device (480x320).  The iPad is 1024x768 so it would be nice if it could run close to that resolution (different CSS).

What happened to the iOS app anyway?

I was also hoping the kmail.org site would work, and it does while Safari is enabled.  However, when Safari is disabled and you use the Home Page Link... the Email Links are disabled and the page is useless for the user.

Is there any work-a-round for the iPad yet?  :'(

Our son is using a 4th generation ipod touch and is disappointed that he can't access his emails via the mail application button. I have tried to access the link to the kidsemail-webapp but got the 403 FORBIDDEN message.

He can access his emails via his browser and view emails but he can not compose emails on his ipod (it doesn't let him type). Is there a way around this? We were hoping that he could stay in touch with us via email when travelling but if he can't use his ipod to write emails then this plan doesn't work.........

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for your notes.  The blog entry is back online and mentions the steps to get the KidsEmail.org mobile version for your mobile device.

I would also be interested in my daughter accessing her email via the "Mail" icon on the iPad.  Or otherwise a web application for iPad like the one mentioned for iPhone/iPod.  Any updates on this? Thanks.

Love the kidsemail app, too.  Just one question: how do you attach a picture to an e-mail using the iPod application?

At this time, attachments are not yet supported on the iPad/Touch webapp.  We are working on an update for this, but it will take some time.

Thanks!

Hello Admin....

I am unable to reach the "http://blog.kidsemail.org/2010/01/kidsemail-webapp-for-iphone-ipod-touch/" link to access the ipod/ipad app.  The link appears to be a dead link as does simply "httl.blog.kidsemail.org"

Is there somewhere else I might find the ipod/ipad app? I dont find it available at Apple's App Store.

Thanks in advance

Admin, the link does not work.  Please provide link to Itouch app.  I transitioned my child's email service to Kidsemail.org specifically because of this feature.  If this is no longer available, please let me know so that I can cancel the service.  thanks.

I would like help on this issue also.  The link provided for this ipod app does not work.  please advise.  Is there any other way to receive support from this website???  Happy for the 30 day trial, because if these concerns are going unanswered or unresolved, you will not have a new paying customer this time next month.  I wanted this type of email account so she can specifically use it on her ipod.

Getting an "Error establishing a database connection".  Can you please update us on the status of this?  I thought apps could only be offered through the App Store?
